Blog Evaluation
Looking back at all my blog posts for the semester, I did complete all the required posts and on time. The only thing that my blogged lacked was visuals. Seeing that I had a company that is completely about visuals i made the necessary changes to match the visuals of my company.

iPod Ads
One of the most successful Apple campaigns was the iPod advertisements. It gave Apple its own image when it came to mp3 players. After these ads began to run no matter where you went if someone had white headphones you knew it was an iPod.
Apple Switcher Campaign
There haven't been many unsuccessful mac campaigns. There have only been under popular ones. Among these is "The Switcher" Campaign which was released in 2002. It is the predecessor to the current Mac vs PC ads. The popularity dwindled because many parodies appeared practically overnight which brought down the credibility of the advertisement because it the parodies would tell you what could be lost.

VIral Marketing
I will be using viral marketing in order to promote the Apple iPod. The essence of viral marketing is to spread communication about the product through already established means of social networking. This happens through such things as word of mouth, the internet, social networks like Facebook, of even text messages in some cases. Keyword in it all is viral which makes the advertisement of interesting that it would spread from person to person.

iPod Recommendation
There have been many mp3 players released over the years but as far as quality and simplicity iPod is the best. It only took me a few minutes to figure out how to fully use all of its functions. But the real test was for my mom. She insn't very technologically savvy, but in a few days she had it down pact . The other simple part is how to add music all you have to do is add the music you want to listen to to iTunes and the program will automatically add it to the iPod.
Congratutaltions
Dear Mr. Jobs,
Since the release of the iPod you have made it possible for so many people to enjoy their music on the go. I can say from my own experience that thanks to your product i can travel in a more relaxed state of mind and not have to worry about the noises from the outside world. Congratulations on all of the success of your product and I look forward to seeing all the advances you make with it.

Types of Visuals
The main type of visuals that Apple Inc needs to use and currently use are Videos. They use their current commercials to put forth the simplicity of their project and the reasons why people choose them over their competitor. During their Expo's Apple does use visuals such as pie charts and graphs to show changes in their products and their profits for the year.
Visual Evolution
Apple is a company that has been around since the mid 80's. When the Mac computer first came out not as much advertisement was necessary because the thought of the computer was enough. Later as the company grew it began its rivalry with the personal computer. Advertisement became essential. Over the years companies began to advertise their products with a symbol. Apple was one of those companies. Apple became a family brand in which just a quick mention of the name and the products were known and a glance of the symbol and it could be identified.

Apple Facilities Report Analysis
The report does follow some of the standard elements needed to write a report but not all. It includes and introduction body but no conclusion. Since it is so short there is no need for a table of contents but it does include illustrations such as charts. As all good reports need there is a full reference list at the end.

2009 Environmental Update
Apple and the Environment
Year after year, Apple has set and met important goals to reduce its impact on the
environment. Since 2006, Apple has assessed the full life-cycle greenhouse gas
emissions (GHG) associated with every product shipped and has been working
continuously to reduce those emissions. We know that over 95 percent of our total
emissions comes from the greenhouse gas emitted from the production, transport, use,
and recycling of products. To find out more about the impact of our products, review
Apple’s Product Environmental Reports at www.apple.com/environment/reports.
In contrast to our products, our facilities represent less than 5 percent of total GHG
emissions. Apple carefully manages the environmental impact of everyday operations.
Our environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management system helps ensure ongoing
compliance with regulations and company standards across all Apple facilities.
This report documents the environmental impact of Apple’s facilities, including Apple
Retail Stores, and it highlights the activities under way to reduce energy and water
consumption and waste production.
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G3) were
considered during the preparation of this report.

Mac Software
The biggest complaint about mac computers is the lack of software and games. The thing about Apple computers is they are more meant for bigger projects. The main use of any mac computer is to edit pictures, make music, or make videos. Mac had the capability of using of of its power and potential effectively.

Apple Planning
Apple comes out with new products every year. After the main idea goes thorough, part of the apple plan if to let the public know about their new product to see what the consumer reaction will be. Apple doesn't always reveal a specific time for release but if it is highly anticipated and highly desired, the product is more likely to come out quicker.
SC Johnson

The Persuaders
One of the topics discussed in the Persuaders is Emotional branding. They discuss the fact that some brands have become so big that people have become emotionally bonded with the brand. Apple is an example of this bonding. Apple products are known word wide and have become a movement of change. No need for extensive advertisement when Apple's brand message is changing and revolutionizing the world.

Presentation Progress
Apple is known for many products, and is constantly updating those products every year. My presentation will showcase all of 2009's new products and newest announced products, such as the iPhone 3GS, and the new iPod nano with video and all of the specs of the new item as compared to its predecessors. It will also include the target demographic for each product. So far I have chosen my items and gotten pictures of each now all that remains is the specs and the demographic.

Research
Market research is a big step in Apple releasing a new product. When it comes to marketing strategies Apple follows the exact same steps are everyone else. Apples marketing simplified can be found at http://developer.apple.com/business/macmarket/research.html.
Teamwork/Non-Verbal Communications
One of the biggest focuses of Apple Inc is its team work. In its mission statement Apple says that its main desire is to work together to further technology, and improve the environment by working together with its employees and as well as the world.
As mentioned before every so often Apple Inc holds its own expos, keynote speeches, and other presentations. These are not only meant to keep the public informed but they are also meant to inform the different departments of what is going on with in the company.

Employee Vacation Request
This is a general notice to all employees. It has come to our attention that when requesting for vacation time people are not following the correct procedures. When requesting your vacation time please fill out the attached form at least one month prior to request time off. You will then give the form to your department head who will fax it over to us in HR. Always allow two weeks for approval.
Communicating to a Diverse World
Originally being a computer company they catered to Educational Institutions and Business Corporations because they were the only ones that could afford the price. With the growth of technology parts have become cheaper, so Apple slowly become a bigger household name.
With the expansion to iPods, Apple expanded to a traveling market. With iPods the creation of iTunes came as well. Now being able to sell music and later video such as TV shows and movies. This was mostly to target High school kids and College students but because of the simplicity of apple technology older generations began to indulge in iPods.
The latest innovations Apple has to offer are Apple TV, which now allows you to watch the videos from iTunes in the comfort of your living room, and iPhone which gives you all the features of an iPod and a smartphone.
If there was ever a company that was entirely diverse it is Apple. The music they offer in iTunes can be heard by different generations and the products they offer can be used from school all the way to your home.

Presentation
Several times a year, Apple has many Keynote speeches in which they announce to the public any upcoming changes within the Apple Inc company. This also includes any changes to current products and any new products that are going to be released. The reason its called a keynote speech is not only to emphasize specific points its also because they use Keynote software. It is the apple equivalent of power point. They use visual slides to show the products and explanation of the main features of the product.

History of Apple Inc
Apple Inc was established in Cupertino, California on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Ronald Wayne. It was incorporated on January 3, 1977. Apple Inc was originally called Apple Computer Inc but in 2007 the dropped "Computer" because of its rapid expansion into other markets. The first computer that was built by Steve Wozniak was not a complete computer by todays standards, it was just a motherboard. It retailed for a little over $600.
The first Macintosh as we know it today, also known as the Macintosh 128k, was made in 1984. The first commercial Apple aired is also one of the most famous commercials ever aired which was based on Orwell's 1984 book. This commercial is said to be one of the major reason's behind the Macintosh computer's original success.
